The doll Dutch Lady

Dewi has been attending to a knitting class with her ex-classmates, Betsy. It is more like a personal tutorial class, because Dewi is the only student at the time slot: Friday morning.

I am so proud of Dewi. Despite her busy work schedule, and taking care of me, she wants to learn to knit. When she gets pregnant, she would then use the time to knit something for our baby. She has started with baby booties! ^_^ I am sure it has an official name, something in Japanese.

Her first masterpiece is a doll she called Dutch Lady, which should also have a Japanese official name. The picture:

Dewi got this steel necklace for me. I like it very much. I like the weight of it. When I wear it, the steel pendant is close to my heart.

Dewi, you are always in my heart.

In Bahasa,
Aku → I
Di → is/am
Sini → Here

Moments in Kulai

We are back from our wedding dinner in my home town Kulai. ^_^

It was a smooth and enjoyable event. The turn-up at the dinner at the night of 10-May had also exceeded our expectation. ^_^

I hope my mother-in-law and brothers-in-law had good times visiting Malaysia, and my humble home town.

Our family members, Dewi and I were all quite exhausted. We were rushing back to Singapore on the next day for mother and brother to catch the flight at noon. In a rush, we forgot to wish our mothers a happy Mother’s Day.

爸爸,妈妈,我们爱你们。谢谢你们给我们的所有。

Video Collage of Photos

We have collected the album of pre-wedding photos we took in Skudai (Malaysia). Cherry is nice. She even have put all the selected photos we have from the Bali outdoor. We like the video collage very much.

Video 1
Background music is a Cantonese song, which we think are romantic although we have not heard of it before this video.

Video 2
Second set of the photos taken in Bali.

Video 3
Photos are taken indoor at Santiago studio in Skudai. It has a cheesy and hilarious ending. Nevertheless, we like it, because it belongs to both of us. ^_^

Happy together

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are insignificant matters compared to what lies within us”

Dear SoonHorng, as of today, we are stepping into our wonderful & enjoyable 6th months marriage life and I am enjoying every moment of it. Our love for each other is just like a journey, starting at forever and ending at never. We laugh a lot, kiss a lot, we talk & tease a lot (ya..ya.. your “cold jokes” haha) and eat a lot! haha…. Dear, making you breakfast every morning is one of my delight routines, as we both are busy thereafter. Thank you for your effort to always provide time for me in the midst of your busy work schedule, dear..i really appreciate it.

Dear, I look forward for the picnic this weekend. i love you, dear.

I should not have had KFC alone

I left the office early today, so that I could meet an ERP solution supplier at an exhibition at Suntec City. I was there about 30 minutes before they closed the exhibition at 5.30pm. Managed to talked to their boss and get a estimated quotation for the project.

After that, I bought a PS/2-to-USB connector for the Chinatown Point which has a spoilt PS/2 port on the cashier PC. I reached Chinatown Point at about 7pm, and managed to set up the connector with good result. It was great.

I was hungry.

And I had been craving for KFC for a few days, since Dewi and I took wedding photos at the studio last weekend. Heh heh. I almost had KFC 2 days ago, while Dewi wanted something else for dinner in Bishan.

And so, I tore the discount coupon and paid $4.50 for 1 piece of chicken thigh, 1 piece of chicken breast meat, 1 cup of mashed potato, and 1 cup of Mountain Dew. This is the People’s Park Complex KFC.

I was alone. I looked for empty table. One is available with 4 empty seats, but full of left-over on the table. I pushed the left-over to one side, and sat on the seat next to the wall. This table is at the entrance. While I was enjoying the chicken thigh and reading Reader’s Digest (thanks, Fern), a guy came to take the left-over mashed potato. I was surprised, thinking that I could have had occupied his seat. I asked him if that was his table. He did not answer. He took the mashed potato and ate it near the rubbish and tray area within the KFC premises. It was not his table. I observed him from the corner of my eyes. He was walking around, looking for left-over that is still edible. He is a Chinese guy, about 35. He looked decent with clean attire. He did not disturb the diners.

I continued with the chicken breast meat and Reader’s Digest. Suddenly, he sat next to me. He did not utter a word to me at all. Some KFC staffs gave signal to him, when they had left-over that were ‘okay’ to be consumed. Eventually, before I left, he had managed to have more mashed potato, chicken meat and soft drink. All the time, while he was sitting next to me, we did not exchange words. I was trying to enjoy the chicken meat (yummy!) and Reader’s Digest. But I did feel awkward a bit. Luckily, he did not have his eyes on my meal. It was quite okay for me as he did not invade my meal territory.

Finally, I said this to him “Excuse me…”, left the table, washed my hands at the basin and took MRT to go home.

*sigh*
Dear Dewi, I should not have had KFC by myself, alone.

Happy Valentine’s Day, dear

Dear, Happy Valentine’s Day.

You remember that I have told you that I was glad to be with you, and will not have lonely Valentine’s Day any more in our dinner last 14-Feb in 2007. Today, although you have taken a flight to Cirebon, while I am in Singapore, I am not alone. I know that I have you in my heart. You have warmed my heart which shall not be alone.

I will go to Cirebon to find you next Tuesday. And we will get married on the next Sunday, with blessings from both of our families, relatives and friends. =)

Runny nose, again…

Today I am down with runny nose. In fact, it started yesterday. Today, it was a chore to get up in the morning for work. And so I messaged to my boss and colleagues about the medical leave.

Yesterday, I had already started having this terrible runny nose. It is like a running tap with unlimited mucus *yacks*. From office, I took a bus with colleague to go to Chinatown, to get decoration stuffs for the retail outlets. Thinking that the outdoor air could do better for my nose, little did I know that the slightly polluted air is not much better than the air conditioner in the office.

The same doctor, I visited last time, said that I always had this nose problem. I said “yeah lor”. The same little yellow pills are given, as well as a medical certificate. So, I officially I am on MC today.

Took my favourite bak chor mee as my breakfast at the coffee shop, and caught a bit of rain on the way back to home. I was almost knocked out after I took the pill.

Dear Dewi is so worried about me. (I love you, Dewi.) I told her I am alright, only feel a bit giddy, which is likely because of the medicine.

Dewi went to Woodlands for viewing. I wish to be able to support her in more and better ways. Morally. Physicall. Financially.
