We are planning our budget now, and the figures certainly are the biggest spending so far for both of us. I really hope I can afford a memorable wedding moments for my wife-to-be, although Dewi is a very understanding lady. She knows my commitment to my family, she is willing to compromise for a few things. I love you so much oh.
The biggest single item in our wedding plan is the new home, our sweet little home. Singapore property market is probably at the peak since 10 years ago. For a new home to be ready in February 2008, we really need some loans from family and relative to tide us over this very short period. As long as we are both getting incomes, we are not so worried about the future commitment. The worry is with the down-payment. Renting a place to stay after we get married is not totally unacceptable, but we thought it would make more sense to use the rental for something we own eventually. This depends on the amount and timing of the loans we can request.
As for other items for the next 3 to 4 months, we can likely make it, although it means using up all our savings. More importantly, both of us can stay together, settle down, and start a new family.
I will have to call my mom to discuss the date and loan from relatives. My parents have been very supportive to me, although I try not to worry them too much. I know they probably will be very much relieved when I start a family and settle down. I love you, dad and mom.
